I took pictures for an interesting project: a book called "verzamelaars verzameld". Its a collection of collectors. People who have hundreds of false teeth, found letters, ceramic dogs, pictures of sleeping people....
The book is just published and can be bought for 2 Euro, at Grenswerk Festival! (grenswerk.nl)

I am hard working on a book about my project "three generations of diapositive photography". It will contain photographs (from three generations) and some really nice texts, written by my tutors, me and one in collaboration with my father. This one is the first test print, which is revised and in about one month the final book will be printed and also available for purchase!

That is my "skriptie" (my theoretical final work):

It is about authenticity. I just started writing with some questions which came up. I tried to find answers on my questions about life, art, self-fulfilment. What is the art of life? What makes an art work authentic? And does our society give people the chance to be authentic, realize oneself? Especially philosophical texts inspired me, but also let to new questions. It turns out as a personal text, with questions, answers and own statements, printed on 72 pages.
For emphasising the personal text i chose for a simple layout. In addition a made a wooden case for it.

I am asked to take part in MEMENTO. It's a great project from 7 art academies.
"The theme of the project focuses on Memory and Recollection (Memento). The intention is that multiple exhibitions will be held simultaneously in all participating countries at a site chosen by each participating college."

i called my last serials "anonymous self-portraits". it was not about me. i just used my own body, because i was available. maybe i just followed a specific idea of colour and form.

i want to change that. i want see myself in my pictures.
